Lynn Heitler
Creative energy has fueled my life since childhood. I was profoundly lucky that the people around me appreciated and supported this aspect of my life. My drive to create has resulted in numerous iterations. I have created oil paintings, monoprints, digital prints, photography, art printed on glass, as well as suspended sculptures, all of which have been displayed in galleries, museums and commercial settings. This work, even though it is quite varied, has a Lynn Heitler vibe.
The freedom to express myself artistically has two consistent ingredients: intense focus—a kind of concentrated meditation—and the ability to create my own visual narrative. Time flies when I am in this state of mind. The dialogue between me and the evolving visual artwork is an unusual relationship: the work is literally telling me what to do. This engagement persists until the work is complete.
